I received a call today from a sales guy for "White Shark Media". Now, normally I hang up these SEO people immediately, but I was not getting a scammy vibe from him. He says that they are offering a free audit of my adwords account (obviously with intention of selling a service), but that fine, everyone has to make a buck. He said that if I know what I am doing, I could just use the report to modify my account for free. I asked how I can know that he is legit, and he pointed me towards google and had me search for adwords partners. Sure enough, they are there:

Anyway, I think I have done fairly well with my adwords account, tweaking and improving over the last 6 years. BUT, I know that there probably is quite a bit that could be cleaned out and optimized. After all, i'm not an adwords specialist, I am a computer repair tech! So, has anyone else used these guys or another adwords optimization firm? Are they worth it? I mean if the initial audit is free, then even one more sale would be worth the trouble....opinions?

This isn't really a deciding factor imo but

They are a accredited business, that is a plus, I guess

But very little activity good or bad, just one thing and it is bad, ultra vague but bad

I went ahead and went with the free assessment. As expected, they did attempt to sell me a service of building a new website, but did not push when I declined. I have a WIX flash based website and it has been a serious issue for running analytics in the past, so I see why they suggested it. But other than that, they did not need my username or password, and they entered through a Google provided API to do the audit. Everything really seemed on the up-and-up from my perspective. They are supposed to send over a "audit report" this afternoon, I'll see how helpful that is!

Anyway, does anyone here use an adwords management service like these guys? I know one can manage their account themselves, I have been for the last 6 years. BUT, I am not an expert, and I really don't have the time to log in with all the work I have to do. So, just like I outsource my accounting, I don't see why it would be so bad to outsource optimization of my main source of customers either. Even if I can get 2 new customers a month it would more than pay for itself. Anywho, thanks in advance for any advice.

it's really not that difficult to learn. I used Google AdWords on my site and had no troubles. there were a few Podnutz daily episodes that help me.

I know how to use it in a basic sense too, what these guys promise to do is optimize it so that it is the most efficient it can be.
