Amahi Home Server

Check it out at http://www.amahi.org. I am working with it, running into some headaches, but also some VPN goodness. It isn't as one-click-simple as they would have you believe, but it is still really good.

I'd be interested to hear your experiences with it.

BTW, Russ Wenner from http://www.thetechiegeek.com was the one who got me interested in Amahi. Check out his latest episode, #60.

I set my Amahi server up this past weekend and it is nice, but I am really picky about what is on my network. Maybe I didn't set something up properly but I have noticed that since I change the DHCP server from the router to the Amahi my network isn't as fast and clean as before.

I am not a networking guru so I might have a something setup poorly. But I am going to have to change some configs when I have time and I will let you know how it goes.
